What’s Cracking Good — Non-dairy recipes

I don’t mind admitting it: I am a lactard.

I don’t eat dairy for a variety of boring reasons. While I’m not vegan (Mmmm, meat), vegans have created some non-dairy versions of the things I miss most: creamy soups, cheesecake, chocolate pudding.

I recently talked to vegan baker extraordinaire, Rikki (Rikki Cupcake?), writer of Seitanic Vegan Heathen blog, at a dinner gathering and she mentioned she recently posted some cool creamy soup and sweets recipes.

Some vegan recipes have a few questionable ingredients (What are Bragg’s Liquid Aminos?), but the most recent potato soup looks very much like a cream soup I’ve been missing for 5+ years.

I’m now awaiting her mini vegan pumpkin whoopee pie recipe, which was by the way, absolutely delicious.

Thank you so much, I love to read about other vegetarians as it gives me the strength to continue. I have about a thousand vegetarian feeds in my google reader, but another can’t hurt!! I did manage to find a good lentil recipe here, but I’ll be sure to try yours too. Thanks!
