Phoenix things to do: October 15 – 17

FRIDAY

Arizona State Fair @ Arizona State Fairgrounds
Deep fried food, farm animals, concerts and kid stuff — there’s something for everyone at the fair. The Arizona State Fair kicks off its opening weekend this weekend and runs through November 7.

Arizona State Fairgrounds
Friday, noon – 11:30 p.m. (check for more times)
Adult ticket is $10, parking in the main lot (19th Ave. & Monte Vista) is $10

SATURDAY

Arirang Korean Festival @ Heritage Square
I love a good Asian festival — even better if there’s lots of kimichi. This one-day event will include arts exhibitions, food — and a lot of spicy fermented veggies.

Heritage Square
115 N. Sixth St.
Phoenix AZ
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

SUNDAY

Frightened Rabbit @ Clubhouse
Most of my friends go crazy over Scottish band, Frightened Rabbit. Like “drive down to Tucson for a show in the middle of the week because they love them so much” like. Well this weekend, they only have to drive as far as the Clubhouse in Tempe.

Clubhouse Music Venue
1320 E. Broadway Rd.
Phoenix, AZ
Tickets $13 in advance,  $15 at door
8 p.m.
