Phoenix things to do: September 17-19

FRIDAY

Early bird dinner @ FnB
Everyone is doing the late night thing — why not an early bird special? From 5 to 6 p.m. the folks at FnB are doing a $10 dinner: fried chicken, succotash, green goddess dressing, and biscuits. Sounds like a great way to kick off the weekend.

SATURDAY

Arizona Restaurant Week @ participating restaurants
Saturday the 18th through the 26th marks restaurant week — one of my favorite opportunities to try new (and sometimes expensive) restaurants in the Valley. For $29 or $39 (depending on the location), participants can enjoy a 3-course meal (and in some cases, wine) at a restaurant on the list. Peruse the menus. The problem will be picking which place to go.
